Select Board · Meeting of March 16, 2026

Granby Select Board denies food truck's liquor-store license over safety, traffic concerns. Board member James said he could not support a common victualer's license for the Mad Eats food truck outside the Granby Liquor Store, warning of "a car accident a week and 25 cars backed up in two directions" near Five Corners; the board's vote left the license not granted. Separately, the board unanimously appointed Steve Marriott as police lieutenant under a contract effective January 5, and approved $3,450 in opioid-settlement grant funds for four prevention workshops at the high school on April 16, requested by task force chair Crystal Dufresne.

Communications Committee chair Tobias Wilson reported a townwide survey drew 429 responses, with 60 percent unsatisfied with current town communications and 95 percent interested in an email newsletter. The board also approved five warrants totaling more than $1.27 million and a statement of interest to the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
