Select Board · Meeting of March 3, 2026
Granby swears in a new dispatcher and punts a contested utility pole case to March 16. The Select Board appointed Angela Parrott as the town's new emergency dispatcher, effective immediately, after she described 25 years in the legal field before a career change. Members continued a National Grid pole-placement hearing on West Street at the utility's request, pending its talks with a Kellogg Street landowner.
The board approved four warrants totaling roughly $864,480, declined a Planet Aid clothing-donation-box proposal as a "trash magnet," and approved a common victualer license for D's Smokehouse and Barbecue over one member's abstention. Members also pressed for temporary traffic stanchions at the crash-prone Five Corners intersection, calling a recent state repaving project a "disaster," after a state legislator's office suggested only increased police patrols.
