Select Board · Meeting of June 15, 2026

Granby Select Board grants beer and wine license, catches a timber contract error worth tens of thousands. The board unanimously approved a wine and malt beverage license for Stack Cart on West State Street after attorney Rich Maynard and several residents, including Glenn Sexton, spoke in favor; one resident recalled "I watched this young man grow up in his mom's store." Separately, forestry consultant John Edwards helped the board catch a drafting error that would have sold 70 cords and roughly 559,000 board feet of Dufresne Park timber for the same $75,000 price originally set for just 30 cords. Select Board member Jeff recused himself from a police and fire insurance vote over his dispatch duties, prompting a procedural exchange over whether he could still make the motion.

The board also approved $2,079,006.88 in accounts-payable warrants, $338,407.93 in payroll warrants, and a three-year, FY27-29 renewal of its Vatar Systems accounting software contract.
