Granby's interim administrator warns the town's books are dangerously behind as sewer rates climb for fiscal 2027. Chris Martin, who returned to help close out fiscal 2025, told the Select Board the town is nine months behind on posting revenue, calling it "a very, very dangerous situation." The board raised FY27 sewer rates up to 11.11 percent for South Hadley-line users, 6.59 percent for Five Corners customers and 0.59 percent for community septic users, an 8.76 percent total increase, and heard schools may need $700,000 more than the town can provide without an override. The board also weighed a $3.3 million Forge Pond Dam repair against a $4.8 million removal, approved a $75,200 timber contract, and heard from Granby to Go's Judy DeLong and Neighbors Helping Neighbors' Mary Lou Guenara, whose food mobile served 108 people in one recent session.
