Half of Granby's Recorded Deeds Involve a Bank as Buyer or Seller
Granby's Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded 14 property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19. Five carry a sale price so far, ranging from $95,000 to $769,000, with a median of $245,000; the other nine have no price yet on record. The period's top sale was 95 Taylor St. at $769,000, sold by Lawrence H. and Shaina M. Humphrey to Jill Kopka. Notably, seven of the 14 deeds list a bank or credit union as buyer or seller, including transactions on South, West, Trompke, Kendall, Trout Lily and Carver streets. With no prior-period data for comparison, the raw count alone does not indicate whether the market was more or less active than usual.
