Council on Aging · Meeting of March 10, 2026

Granby's Council on Aging reviewed a routine February budget and food-program numbers with no major votes beyond adjournment. Staffer Natalie reported expenses including $173.73 for volunteer gifts, $415 for a Polish lunch and $162.04 for food pantry meat, plus a pending roughly $1,000 outside check still in email back-and-forth. The brown bag food program served 23 pickup and seven delivery households, with 21 residents also enrolled in a new Amherst Survival Center box program.

Members thanked the Granby American Legion for donating "a hundred dollars for every meal" toward one lunch program and raising its monthly activity raffle prize from $10 to $25. A board member, Eleanor, had asked for a community sponsor to cover the center's $500 music license fee; none was found, and the question was referred to the group's activities subcommittee. Members also said three board seats, held by Terry, Bob and Carol Zaborski, are up for renewal this year.
